Superman has been an iconic figure in everything from advertising to the big silver screen in theaters. Do you remember the first time you heard the infamous tale of how the last son of Krypton traveled to Earth and came to a town called Smallville in a place called Kansas? Was it in a comic book or maybe in theaters?

We’ve seen the man of steel portrayed in movies and television series. Most recently we’ve seen Brandon Routh in Superman Returns. This movie was a big letdown to those of us that anticipated the film to have the same momentum that the other Christopher Reeves films had had on the nation. Tom Welling portrayed young Clark Kent in the television series, Smallville. Dean Cain portrayed the man of steel alongside Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane in the 1993-1997 series, “Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.” George Reeves portrayed the man of steel from 1952-1958 before the Superman curse became too much for him.
